OVERVIEW
This 5 day Lapland Christmas Experience Photo Tour is an opportunity to experience a White Christmas in the Arctic Circle in Lapland but to also gain knowledge from professional photographer David Still so you can return home with awesome photos of your special time in Swedens Lapland in the Arctic Circle.

23 December
On your arrival you will be welcomed by David who will assist you with your check-in, show you to your room and familiarise you with your surroundings to ensure you are comfortable. After you have had time to relax and settle in, in the evening we will gather to meet the group and discuss the upcoming adventures of your New Years photo tour. We will set off on our first Aurora hunting experience once we have provided guidance on the best possible techniques to use so you can capture great images of the Aurora. David Still, your professional photographer tutor/guide will escort you to a winter white wonderland location near the Abisko National Forest. We will be snuggled around an open fire toasting marshmallows while we prepare to capture great images of the dancing Aurora Borealis rays overhead.

24 December
In Sweden, the Swedes celebrate Christmas on the 24 December. This is the day that the children get their presents from Santa. Known as Julafton, your day will start with a traditional Swedish Christmas breakfast buffet where you will enjoy homemade baked bread and gingerbread along with piping hot oaty porridge. Today we will venture out for a snowshoe hike up to a vantage point with a quaint traditional Swedish church that overlooks the frozen Arctic Lake Tornetrask. This evening will be time to gather around a log fire under the sparkling stars deep in the Abisko National Park. Roasting marshmallows and savouring a festive traditional Swedish meal while waiting for an Aurora to sweep across the skies above. This will be a unique night to remember.

25 December
This is known as Juldagen and is a quiet day for the Swedes. This morning will be free for you to spend time with your special family and friends to celebrate your Christmas as you wish. The afternoon will be a unique Christmas day experience. We will depart on snowmobiles making our way down to participate in Ice-fishing on a frozen lake in the Arctic Circle.
Hopefully we will be lucky enough to catch some fish to bring back to barbeque over an open fire in the evening under the Northern lights in a secluded location within the Abisko National Forest. This is yet another experience that you will remember for a lifetime!

26 December
The Swedes refer to Boxing Day as Annandag Jul. This morning will be free offering you your last opportunity to enjoy the local beauty within the Arctic Circle. Of course if you would like us to organise any extra local activities for you, your family and friends, we would be more than happy to arrange this for you at an additional fee.
Your last evening will be a gathering at a snowy destination within the Abisko National Forest where we will treat you to a final evening meal . Imagine yourself roasting marshmallows on an open fire sitting on traditional reindeer skins under the star filled skies while we observe and capture the unique swirling Aurora rays.

27 December
Today will inevitably be a sad day when the realization dawns that you have to say your farewells and depart the Arctic Circle.
For a truly unique experience, sitting on a reindeer skin around an open fire toasting marshmallows, is a memory that you will treasure for a lifetime.
You will return home from your Arctic Circle experience on our 5 day Lapland Christmas Experience Photo Tour with photos and memories that will last a lifetime.
