I've lived in London since last century shooting interiors, still life and advertising work, I've been sought after to shoot interiors worldwide for UK publishing houses and have recently been shooting in Italy, Australia and New Zealand as well as my landscape work.

Before moving to London my life was governed by the rhythm (and temper) of the ocean as I spent a lot of my time on the sea and as a scuba diver, also under it. I still have two under-utilised Nikonos underwater camera's and an underwater flash system sitting on a shelf in New Zealand. Summers meant the smell of the beach, rippling sails, the taste of sea salt, growling outboard motors and bare feet in hot sand. The sunrise, sunsets and beautiful scenery were like a natural theatre. This gave me a constant source of inspiration for photography, a passion that began while I was still at school.
This love of photography eventually lead to me having two professional studios in the CBD, working for top advertising agencies and international companies such as FCB, Saatchi and Saatchi, JWT, Yves St Laurent, Ford, Nestle and many more.
Working with these clients on advertising campaigns, TVC Stills and the like meant I'm now proficient in all camera formats including 8X10” view cameras. As this kind of work took me to many shooting situations needing specialist lighting I have used all types of lighting, including ‘flash’ and it’s various light shaping tools and attachments, ‘hot’ lights - HMI's and tungsten (spots, blondes, red-heads etc) on location and on intricate still life and product sets in the studio.
I've worked on shoots with art directors, models, stylists and all manner of ancillary agents such as location finders, prop hunters, clothes stylists, make-up artists and food stylists. Over those years I've also taught many junior photographic assistants in my studios who have also gone on to work in the photographic industry.
I think because of my wide and varied range of subjects and locations I've developed a “eye and flair” for capturing shots as well as a robust technical knowledge of photography. This has given me an ability to explain the most perplexing photographic quirks in a simple way and will bring the best out in any individual I work with.
